If you need other types of assistance, however, such as de-cluttering, unpacking and arranging furniture and belongings, and liquidation of any items that won’t be moved, you might want to consider seeking help from a “Senior Move Manager.” The National Association of Senior Move Managers (www.nasmm.org) is a wonderful resource. I’ve never heard of a company that does "senior moves"…I’d imagine that all companies do the same job, no matter what your age or circumstances. We moved a short distance a few years ago from one apartment to another – they charged for the time, not the distance. Cost us about $500.
